I've been coming to J&L consistently for a few months now, and I really do love coming here. I'm willing to even put aside that it's a bit pricey for me to come here consistently because I love coming here so much. But after months of this issue I finally feel the need to say something about the fact that EVERY time I have come here the last few months without FAIL I am told they're out of something I'm trying to order. It's almost a joke at this point, I'm here two hours after they open on a Saturday and told they're out of croissants for the day? And it isn't just because it's a high volume day or something like that, I work in this type of business, this can happen literally any day any time. I want to give you guys five stars because really in any other way this place is great, but this issue is honestly egregious at this point.

J&L Coffeehouse is such a gem! The food is always fresh and delicious, and their drink menu is full of fun, creative options that taste just as good as they look. Whether you're stopping in for coffee, breakfast, or a treat, there's always something new to try. What really makes this place special, though, is the people. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely makes you feel glad you stopped by. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to catch up with friends, get some work done, or simply enjoy a great cup of coffee. Highly recommend!

Cute little coffee shop 🩵 I got a orange cream,white chocolate & vanilla iced lattee and my Mom got a hot chai tea. Everyone that I interacted with was very friendly, kind, and helpful. Even the other customers. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Kate & Jayna were so sweet and kind + this place has the best bagels and specialty coffee selection in Luzerne County hands down.

Good food, service, and ambiance. Whoever furnished and decorated did a great job--I was comfortable during my 2 hours working on my laptop. The coffee was delicious and bold, and the breakfast sandwich I ordered was decent. It's a little out of the way, but if I ever have cause to be in that part of NEPA again I'll definitely go again.
